KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a motivated and outgoing Regional Manager to join a sales team focused on cultivating great customer relationships and providing the best solutions in the industry. As a Regional Manager, you will enhance our market presence by collaborating with our representative network, becoming a resource for the engineering community, and helping identify time savings tactics for installing contractors. You’ll play a crucial role in developing sales strategies for both your region and national programs, while still getting to interact with customers on a personal level to see the progress of the initiatives first-hand. Geographic Region: MD, VA, TN, NC, SC, DC


Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth within your region by identifying strategies to surpass revenue goals.

  • Conduct a quarterly assessment of the geographic territory and develop an optimized strategy for each market.

  • Provide information for Forecast and Budget preparation.

  • Develop expertise in our products and their applications to effectively educate customers and provide tailored solutions.

  • Proactively increase awareness of our products and solutions through targeted prospecting efforts.

  • Develop the understanding of the fabric of individual markets to better serve those communities as a resource in our field.

  • Effectively use the CRM system to manage customer relationships, track prospecting efforts, and maintain a clear pipeline of opportunities from quotations to upcoming projects.

  • Manage relationships with manufacturer representative firms and assist with training and product presentation meetings.

  • Provide ongoing post-sale support to our partners.

  • Conduct meetings directly with building owners, contractors, and engineers.

  • Ensure Hays components are specified into current and future projects.

  • Stay ahead of trends, regulations, and product changes within our industry.

  • Obtain competitive information and product opportunities not currently served by Hays.

  • Coordinate with the Hays team in Dallas, NC for potential recommendations, responses, and development for customer/end user requests.

  • Attend and provide coverage to major national and regional trade shows.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High-energy, driven, self-motivated with a commitment to excellence.

  • 3+ years of experience in a regional sales role with a proven track record of delivering superior results.

  • Accountable and results-oriented.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and presentation abilities with a professional presence.

  • Strong technical aptitude with demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, and strategic planning skills.

  • A passion for learning and development to enhance your effectivity on the job.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Maintain a good Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • BS degree in a technical discipline preferred with extensive knowledge of mechanical components.

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience managing key accounts using effective sales skills.

  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is preferred.
