About the Role
The Maintenance Technician’s work involves assisting senior maintenance technician(s) with planning and performing responsibilities relating to repair of buildings, mechanical and/or electrical equipment, installing and aligning new equipment, and repairing building, floors, stairs, etc.
Works independently on projects of moderate complexity or as an assistant to more experienced maintenance staff on the most difficult projects. Perform custodial duties periodically throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Repair and maintain all production equipment under senior maintenance technician’s guidance within the proper safety procedures. Analyze and evaluate maintenance problems to create solutions.
Performs general repairs that do not require a special technician (repairing drywall, painting, doors, fixtures, etc.)
Keeps inventory and places orders for supplies.
Respond to all plumbing needs in plant and office.
Provide fabrication and carpentry knowledge for workable product.
Fulfill and document completion of work order requests.
Provide support for IT - computer system and telephone system.
Perform within the physical and environmental demands of the job, as described in Section E: Working Conditions.
Additional Job Responsibilities
Assist with party and/or meeting set up and breakdown (tables and chairs).
Assist in pick-up of parts from suppliers.
Assume the role of maintenance helper to senior maintenance technician(s) when needed.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
Ability and knowledge of rigging skills, mechanical, plumbing and pneumatics.
Strong computer/communication skills.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Ability to use all hand tools and measuring devices
Effective written and verbal communication skills
PIT Certification
Valid Drivers license (Good driving record/company insurable)
