Maintenance Technician III

The Maintenance Technician’s work involves planning and performing responsibilities relating to repair of buildings, mechanical and/or electrical equipment, installing and aligning new equipment, and repairing building, floors, stairs, etc.  Works independently on projects of moderate or difficult complexity and serve as a mentor for other maintenance staff.  May also perform custodial duties periodically.


1.    Repair and maintain all production equipment within the proper safety procedures.  Analyze and evaluate maintenance problems to create solutions.

2.    Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and electrical devices.  Check all voltage 12v AC/DC, 120/208 Vac, 277/480 vac.

3.    Respond to machine control systems by troubleshooting relay logic solid state and PLC controls.

4.    Install power supplies to new and old equipment, as required by safety and code regulations.

5.    Install electrical compressed air and hydraulics, as required by safety and code regulations.

6.    Package and label product and perform computer transactions.

7.    Provide HVAC knowledge, fabrication, and carpentry for workable product.

8.    Fulfill and document completion of work order requests.

9.    Provide support for the computer system and telephone system.

10.  Perform within the physical and environmental demands of the job.



1. Assume the role of Maintenance Helper when needed including Trash/cardboard pickup, sanitation supply stock, etc.

2. Assist with party and/or meeting set up and breakdown (tables and chairs).

3. Assist in pick-up of parts from suppliers.

4. Assist with engineering for custom builds (Testers, equipment, ect)

5. Recommend upgrades in the facility and assist with EOL evaluations 


1. High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (Electrical degree/certifications preferred)

2. 10+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment

3. Advanced ability and knowledge of electrical/electronic, hydraulics, HVAC, rigging skills, mechanical, and pneumatics

4. Strong computer skills, including PLC

5. Advanced ability to read blueprints and schematics 

6. Ability to use all hand tools and measuring devices

7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

8. PIT Certification

9. Valid Driver’s License with good driving record

10. Excellent time management skills

11. Self-motivated/self-starter


1.     Experience with CMMS (Maximo)

2.   5S Experience 

3.   Experience with CNC Lathes/Mills (Okuma, Doosan, Haas)

4.   Certifications in the mechanical/electrical fields

5.   Welding (Mig)

6.   Fabrication skills
